I am planning on installing an aftermarket cruise control on my '97 F-150 V6 with standard transmission. I have looked at the install instructions from sevral kits and in the controller set up you have a setting for 2000, 4000, 6000, or 8000 pulse rate from the VSS. How do I know what the pulse rate is on my truck?
This sounds like a question for HomerWinzlow.
Do a search for him and maybe send him a message and see if he can help.
I think he has probably installed these before.
Thanks for the tip Racerguy. I just looked up some info on Rostra, Inc. web site (they distribute Rostra and Dana cruise controls). According to the application data the pulse rate is 8000.
