supercharger interchange

Help, I have a 1997 F150 4.6 and I have an opertunity to purchase a supercharger from a 5.0. Can someone tell me if this fit my 4.6

It'll probably work with the proper bracketry and ductwork. A roots/twinscrew will require a different intake manifold, and inlet, a centrif will require a different mounting bracket and ductwork. Both types (roots or centrif) will require different pulley combos

Supercharger

Sounds like it could get expensive making the conversion. I will need to check cost out. I am just wanting an extra boost in the mud for my 4x4 with the 34.-16-12.50 tires. Any other ideas on this.

It is never cheap when you are dealing with power adders.

Yup....even if you got the brackets, pulleys, and a proper sized belt there is a lot of peripherals that need to be addressed. Fuel system upgrades (pump, injectors, FMU...), monitoring gauges (boost, fuel pressure, A/F ratio), and finally a custom tune to bring it all together. Then you'll need to beef up the transmisson to handle the extra power. $$$
