Whistle on acceleration

Whistle on acceleration
I have an 01 F-150 Supercrew and under moderate acceleration there is a whistle type noise that is heard from the passenger area under the dash. Any ideas? It also seems to stop or go away after it shifts and the rpm drops..not sure if thats directly related or not.

Hi and welcome to the forum 
There are a few vacuum hoses under the dash. They are for the heater controls. It's possible that one of them is leaking.
If you stick your head under the dash with the engine running can you hear the sound?
