Miloden water pump
I was checking out prices for water pumps and I see that in addition to the aluminum Edelbrock ($160) and the iron FlowKooler ($87), there is also a Miloden high volume pump for about $95. Has anyone used this pump? I am thinking of going with one of the two iron versions (cheaper). Is there any reason to believe the Miloden would be any better than the FlowKooler or visa a versa?

My next pump is going to be the edelbrock but I think the Milodon has a pretty good rep. I don't know much about the flowkooler. They make a disc that you can use in a stock pump to supposedly make it flow like the expensive aftermarkets. It only costs about $6.

I run the edlebrock. I don't think it flows very well at low RPMs. I can see my temp gauge dance around a little above normal at idle in drive. If I take off or put it in nuetral (increasing the engine/pump speed), it stabilizes.
I really don't know if an upgrade pump is needed. I just wanted the clean aluminum look. if your radiator and fans are in good order, the stock pump is probably OK for a medium FE build.
