Most who use the dual outs uses a 3" in and 2.5" out.

I have a Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow Single 3" in and 2.5" out, the pipes exit the rear on each side of the hitch, the pipes are finished with with 3" OD x 12" Long SS tips. In the cab it is very quiet, you can here it, but not to loud. On the outside it is perfect.

I have a FM 40, 3" in and duaL 2.25" out exiting out the back with 3.5" slash tips. Sounds great. Good tone for a V10. Loud enough going up through the gears but barely noticeable at highway spped
