rear end seal
I have a 69 F100 with a 9" rear end. How do you replace the rear end seal? Does the driveshaft just slide out and then I can take it out or is it more complicated?

Are you talking about the front yoke seal, the housing seal, the axle seals? If it's the front yoke seal, all ya do is disconnect your driveshaft. Then there is a nut you have to remove from under a lot of grease and dirt. The yoke will slide out and then you remove the old leaky seal (use your imagination, I pierced mine with a small screwdriver and worked it out with a knife). Clean everything the seal will touch and make sure you use a sealant RTV to glue it in there. Tap the new seal in evenly. When the RTV sets up, install the yoke and nut. I'm sure there is a torque for that nut and there might be a crush washer or somethink back there too. Good Luck!
