powdercoating suspension components?

I work at a powdercoating place and can get my suspension done whatever color I want for free but was wondering how the coils are done, if that even is powdercoating? It looks like it isnt podwercoated and Im afraid if i get them done the powder will crack and flake off when they coils flex. I was wondering the same with the rear leeaf springs as well. So if anybody knows if this will work or how the coils are done from the manufacturer, just let me know.

Ask the company that supplies your Powder Coating Stuff, as there are almost as many types as paint, if the coating is not design for wet locations it will not last. Also do you have to bake your items in an oven? This may change the strenght of the components.

Rear springs will take powder coating just fine. The bake oven temperature is low enough so that the springs are not affected. I believe that some aftermarket springs (Skyjackers) are powder coated.

Powder coating is relatively flexible and might work OK on front springs too. I'd give it a try since even flaked powder coated springs look better than rust.

powder coat is basically powdered plastic so it should be flexible enough and definitely waterproof.
