Subwoofer Woes

Hi All

I have a '02 EB with the Mach audio system in it. Factory Sub just quit working today. Speaker is good, it appears that there is no power to the amp. Is there a fuse that could have blown or anything simple I should check before going to the dealer.?

the fuse is under the hood . I believe on the drivers side its the one with like 5 minis in it

Checked out all the fuses, they were fine. Took Expy to the dealer this AM.

Service writer was exceptionally nice. He noticed the leather cracking on the seats and pulled out a notebook. He looked at a few pictures and said mine looked like they qualified for replacement. He would check and let me know what they are going to do.

Just got off the phone. They are replacing the amp/sub assembly. And I am getting new leather seat bolsters also.

Is there any other replacement for the sub-woofer other than factory Ford OEM. Mine has given out due to heat and deterioration. (It's a bear to get out from behind the panel.)

what year car do you have. MTX makes a good subwoofer for 97-02 eddie X

97 Exp EB 4x4. Yes, I've tried to confirm with MTX whether their subwoofer will work, but all they try to do is sell me the entire enclosure/speaker/amp, which I don't need. It appears that the 8" MTX Thunder4500 should work. Is that what you're referring to?
