Diablo Problems

I have a 2001 f150 with a 4.2liter and an automatic tranny .... Ive had my chip in since the 19th and its been great.... but now the thing seems to be giving me problems... mainly stalling. Ive stalled out idling, backing up and doing 70 down the highway. whats the deal here? I frankly dont know.

You may have overscrubbed the connecter (too thin) and the chip has loosened up. Take the chip out, and wipe the connector down with amonia. Then put the chip back and secure it as tightly as possible with duct tape (not pretty but it'll grip it better than anything else.

Okay. If its too thin it can still be used. First, determine if that's the problem by resecuring it. If it is, then take a soldering iron and run a thin bead of sold on the pins on one side (not both sides or it will be too thick). It sounds harder than it really is.

Take the soldering iron and hold it to each pin for about 5-10 seconds. Then touch the pin with the solder and it will instantly melt a thin amount onto the pin without going anywhere you don't want it. Oh... clean off the area with rosin first.
