They've already started making the hybrid within the past month. But, it may be next spring before you get one.
Too new technology and since I drive highway miles, I could get about the same mpgs with the new 2.3 4-banger without paying the hybrid premium.

hybirid doesnt always save you money. The vehicle itself cost more because it has batteries. It is NiMH battery pack. It won't last forever. After being recharged x number of times, it won't hold charges. Nobody knows how much it will cost in the future if you need to get the batteries replaced. And if Ford is greedy, they will design it so that you can not replace it yourself. If they use lithium ion battery, thats another story.
I can't imagine how the sound level inside would be like. Sometimes you will hear engine noise, and sometimes it will be virtually quiet.
