oil filter relocation

Just finished installing filter relocation kit, and oil cooler. Got tired of that sideways laying filter on my 390 that dripped oil everywhere when it was unscrewed. Very easy job, except I had to run to the hardware store to find a 2"X2" 90 degree bracket for the new filter mount. Perfect find, got it in the fence and gate hardware aisle. Filter is now mounted on the inside of frame, just behind the crossmember. Also needed to make room for new power steer box, so killed 2 birds with one wrench.

I've got a Perma-Cool dual oil filter setup on mine. It sound like overkill, but the oil stays clean for twice as long. It was only a few dollars more than the normal one, plus I have extra oil capacity.

lots of oil

Hillbilly, I thought about the dual filter setup, both since I have a 9 qt oil pan, and change oil more often than I prob should, I decided to stay with the one filter setup. 10 qts of synthetic and a good filter in the ol girl is treating her too good!
