A4LD Runs Cold
Ok, so eveyone knows there are a million things that might be wrong at anyone time on a A4LD. Over the last couple of weeks mine has started to do something new to me. When the van is cold, the tranny does not shift out of first. We have to drive several miles before it will shift. Doesn't seem to matter much whether we get hard on the throttle, or take it easy. After everything is warm, it runs fine. I had the tranny rebuilt a year ago (10K miles) where they relplaced a sprag gear and put a heavy duty troque converter in. The fluid looks good. Any ideas to what might be contributing to this?

I am assuming the govenor is located at the output side of the Tranny. Is this correct? Is there anything special I need to do to take out the old one and install a new one?
