Thats good to hear. I ordered one for my 04, as well as my fathers 04 F250 from Motorhaven last week. They are in backorder (hopefully because they are getting all of these new revisions that are holding up returns like yours). Keep us updated on the overall characteristic changes after some miles have been put on it.
Superchips is a brand. They sell both computer chips, and hand held tuners (the latter is what we are discussing). Yes, the tuners plug into the diagnostic port AFAIK to upload a new computer program to fully utilize the engines power. They provide more power, more torque, can alter shift points, as well as shifting parameters (Faster shifting), all of which help not only towing ability, but around town driving. If you keep your foot to the floor, having fun with the new power, yes, it will affect it. Although, they say that with the new efficiency of the truck, all other things being equal, you can notice an increase in mpg figures. For all costs, check out www.motorhaven.com They currently have an FTE promo deal running. Give them a call, and find out what their pricing is. I will tell you this, it was the lowest I found ANYWHERE!
