cause for concern

i have recently noticed that my rim on the drivers side has been getting really hot and one day there was somke comming from it. it may be the brakes but it doesnt smell like rubber burining, it might be brake fluid burning or something im not sure. i also heard that it could be the wheel bearing and if that is the problem, it will cost alot to replace it. ANY info would be appreciated, thank you.

If it's the center of the wheel, it is probably your bearing. You might want to have it looked at. It might just need to be repacked with grease. That whouldn't cost much. Just catch it before it locks up.

First thing I would do is take off the front tire and look at the rotor, if it is discolored then I would rebuild the caliper, you might have a sticking piston and the brakes are rubbing hard. If not repack your bearings if damage hasn't been done.
