Best 428?
Which year was best for the 428, horse power wise. I'm looking to drop one in my truck. Maybe a cobra jet, or super cobra jet.

im not sure which year was best but good luck finding one, i suppose the best hp wise would of been the one that came with 2 4 barrells and factory cast headers.

Anything prior to 71 across the board will have more HP.

You probably won't find a complete motor anywhere, so the performance will be up to you and your wallet. If you do find a complete motor, be prepared for the price!!
