For one you have a 7.3L idi(Not a power stroke!),and 2 you have no computer except for the transmission. The engine is 100% mechanical.Be glad, they are superior to the later models....Cheaper to fix...cheaper to hot Rod.....and have a cult following. Also,Just for a history lesson,up until 1993 all you could get was non turbo diesels(forgot the year Ford changed from 6.9 to 7.3 but they are the same engine just bigger pistons),93 and 94 you could get either Naturally asperated or turbo IDI in manual and automatic and in 94 you could get the 7.3L powderchoke with a 5 speed manual only.95 bye bye IDI,only get the powderchoke.
thats easy.#1 TURBO!Best power for the bucks.Next,Guages(Pyrometer and boost-Pyro is a good idea on a N/A even without turning the truck up.)Turn the fuel up to manever bottom out the screw though,Always bottom then back off a 1/4 turn before firing up). After that,Propane. Then Meth lab!Water/methanol injection(washer fluid!).Don't use NOS since you will blow the heads off these engines very easily. We have way more compression than teh PSD have(22.5/1 Vs 17.5/1)
