Hi people just wondering the tranismission pump on these trannys, are there any adjustments?Today was not a very hot day and yes again the tranny leaked from the seal for only part of the day, when I'm off the highway it stopped leaking and shifts o.k. When I was on the highway I seemed to observe a loud humming sound, sounds like tire noise but now I question that.Wonder if it could be the pump, have to admit didn't feel any slipping and the humming isn't always present.I guess I'm going to start with a band adjustment, check the fluid and keep you posted.Guess I felt the need to try to get info.and support.

Thanks again
Was the tranny rebuilt recently? The pump comes with two gears and a pump body, which has to be aligned properly with the housing. If the pump was not aligned, it will cause premature wear of the bushing and the front pump seal. However, if the tranny was not rebuilt, there is little chance of that. Otherwise, there is no adjustment on the pump.
Good question,it is a used truck but the tranny is not the original, this is a 94 with a 93 rebuilt tranny, has a tag on it with a company logo but sounds American to me.Something like Engine Rebuilders,I'm from the Great White North, doesn't ring a bell.Today I'll be adjusting the bands, see if it will help, keep yous posted.I have a feeling it might have to do with the overdrive, seeing I don't know why or how it works. My other suspicision is because it seems to work well in the city, little scary because in less than a week I want to cross the country and my daughter is getting married, talk about stress and no more room for mechanical knowledge, that is why I need help.
Thanks Again
keep you posted
