Hi. Just submitting my first post to this group. My son has been given 2 '54 F100's by my dad, who purchased them to combine into one functional, fully-restored truck. I've tackled something like this years ago when I restored (more like resurrected) a '64 Ford van... but it's been years and I'm snooping around for online resources. Found this tonight and it looks like a wealth of great info. We're just hoping to take the best parts of the two and build something that runs. Maybe, if there's enough left afterwards, we might try to build a hot-rod version with the leftovers... maybe drop a high performance drive train and see what we can do.
In the meantime, I'm hoping to just get the first truck on the road with the original drive train as close to original parts, etc. as possible. I'm sure I'll be out here from time to time with questions, comments, etc. BTW, does anyone know if there is a Ford truck club anywhere in Kentucky or southern Ohio?
