steering column

I need a steering column for my sons 1977 f 150 4x4 auto, it has a worn out tilt in it at present, but thought we would just put a standard column back in, can some one tell me what years of trucks I can get a column from?

78-79 will also bolt in, they only need a small wiring change, i have a 78 column in my 77 and it works great! check my gallery

i dont know exactly which ones, but if you get out a meter you should be able to figure it out. if memory serves me correct, it was a yellow wire with a brown stripe, and a blue wire with an orange stripe. but dont quote me on that!

Had you considered going to your dealer to get the specific parts and rebuild it? Tilt columns are getting harder to find for the 73-79's.
