Need Help with PCM

I'm new here so I hope I can explain this problem right. I have a 967.3 PSD that runs intermittantly on four cylinders. it will start fine, but after a few seconds it will drop one bank. Sometimes it will straighten out after about five minutes and sometimes it won't straighten out. I have tried to pull any codes from the PCM, but my scan tool shows "ERR2" on the display. I've checked the scan tool on other vehicles and it works fine. Has the PCM gone south or are there other things I need to look at first. I really appriciate any help on this.

Have you wiggled any wires around when it's running to try to re-create the problem? I don't know much about diesels, but I was talking to a guy at work about his power stroke, and he was telling me the injectors run on 110 volts. So be careful.

The scan tool is a Innova 3100. I don't know off the top of my head when the truck was born, but will check tommorrow. I'm well aware of the 120 volt DC injector circuit.I wiggled the harness in several places to see if I could get it to drop one bank with no luck. It's got me stumped???

Thanks for the quick reply
