Fault Codes
I know alot of vehicals have a way to access the fault codes without a scanner. On my Jeep, you hold down the tripometer button while turning the ignition on. (to the setting right before the Engine turns over) It test's all the guages and will display any fault codes. I tried this same procedure on my 2004 F-150 and it appears to do the same thing. All of the guages went through their own test and then my tripomoter turned into some kind of acces unit for the computer. As i keep taping the button, i accessed a function of the computer and saw all kinds of codes. I must have went through 20 different pages. Does any one have a manual that discribes this feature?
