Hello to all of the Ford people. I am Bronco Buckaroo a.k.a. "Greaseball" . Go www. broncodriver.com......click on "Staff" scroll dwon to "Greaseball" and that is me. Been a Ford perfromance builder since 1964, off road Bronco builder since 1973. My family and I have three classic off road Broncos, two four wheel drive Ford trucks, one of which I have driven daily for 35 years(69 high boy), and a 1990 Ford "Super Duty" truck. We have a '67 Ford Fairlane drag car (351 Cleveland) and are buiulding another performance car. I write a question and answer column along with technical articles for each edition of Bronco Driver. I look forward to hearing from you and "thank you for your kind consideration".
Welcome to the site Buckaroo, but you would get better exposure if you start a new thread on the topics page introducing yourself. It sounds like you're going to be very helpfull around the site. John
thank you once again to all for the input. But I think Fenders has it right it's better to ask advise since the chances of any of us actually using it are slim and none. And we all know where slim went!!!! Besides if I took advise I would have bought a truck that was complete and just changed a few things to make it my own. I'm sure you have all heard that one atleast a couple of times...
"I think Fenders has it right"
That was beautiful man. We're gonna get along real good
David, the thing with these trucks and with old cars too, is that before you get one finished you'll see something else that catches your eye and if your not careful it'll follow you home so that there isn't just one project around, but 2 or 3. Why, I bet there might be even a couple of guys or gals here that have more than that. Have fun with the truck and if it runs, try to drive it once in a while as you make improvements.
So the new project "followed you home".........good excuse. I'll have to use that next time..........I assume it is a tried and proven excuse, otherwise you wouldn't advertise it!
I have managed to cure myself of the too many projects problem. I built a bigger shed.
Now I'm only working on a '48 F1, '51 Victoria Kustom, '27 Roadster and a '37 Roadster Ute.
halfdone, I can't vouch for the "followed me home" being tried and true. It seems that every time one follows me home the better half goes to the jewelry store and something follows her home.
I agree John, it is perfectly alright with me if you bad mouth Vern, just keep on writin'. John T
Vern
These guys aren't bothering you are they? You want I should mess em up boss?
David
I know you're new around here. This thread has been jacked. It may very well evolve into a discussion about sweat tea, outhouses or perhaps we'll sing a jingle from an old TV commercial. I just want you to be prepared.

maybe the first thing you ought to do is throw away the Classic Truck magazine!! I used to subscribe to that old rag and I grew to dislike it. But I thought it was cheap so I ket getting it, When I found myself not reading it I stopped the subscription. My favorite mag is Vintage Truck (formerly This Old Truck). more costly but it is filled with pics and stories of regular guys like us building and restoring trucks the old fashioned way, not by paying some high priced shop to do it all!!!
abe, Iwas given the magazine sub. as a present but I look at any thing that has old ford trucks in it. I tried custom classic truck but that seems more geared towards theother brand that I will never write or talk about.
I cured the "better" half problem too.......I went to a swap meet one weekend and when I got home it was just me and my projects. The child support payment are less than she used to spend anyway!
I'll try the "followed me home" excuse on my mates when they hassle me about the shed full of halfdone projects. It doesn't matter what follows them home cause I don't have to pay!....worse they can do is drink the contents of the fridge
