I recently saw a 2004 Screw Lariat Blk/Tan with a very nice pinstripe I stopped and asked him where he got it put on at and he said it came with the truck. I just bought a scab same color and everything and went to the Ford dealer and they said no stripe was offered. The guy I stopped and asked where he got his stripe at said he saw the truck being off loaded from the car carrier and the stripe was on. Is there a stripe avaialble for the trucks or not????
firemarshall, since you help build the trucks i have a quick question. if i buy a truck build in August of this year 2004 model, will i get less than average quality control than say May? you know, time for the two week shutdown, people ready to leave, maybe the poor quality parts or leftover stuff is used???...i would think by August, some of the problems I am reading about would be sorted out??? any info would be appreciated......
TORE:
I had a pin stripe painted on my Lariat. The dealer had an aftermarket guy come over and do the detailed painting. Had the stripe painted in arizona beige so that it matched the bottom area accent. I'm in the Atlanta area. Check with some of the truck custom shops in your area. They usually have the tape stripes. I prefer the paint - lasts longer and perfect match. The stripes really set the truck off. Gives it a great look. Good luck
Your dealer should be able to order a stripe from a 97-03 model and it should look great! If he still is no help check with other area dealers im sure someone can help you.
lariatrider rides on.....
mine came with it from the dealer, but it was a dealer-added thing.
it has a little "ford powered" sticker in the stripe on the door... a bit different, but cool...
