I ended up having to go out of town for work last year, but I am going to try to get my schedule arranged so I can be there this year. For at least one day...
What's the date? I've been thinking of going every year for several years but never seem to get around to it. I may just have to do it this time . . . though I was just in Vegas and am a little burned out on it.
I'm there! I run a little side business developing upgrade kits for classic cars, SEMA is a big show for me. Actually, it's really just an excuse to take a tax deductible trip to Vegas with my wife!
Can the general public get into that show? I thought you had to be press or a vendor, etc....
You're right, the show is not open to the general public, just people in the business. However, if you know anybody who runs a car related business, it's quite easy to get a badge through them. They just claim you as an employee.
Sema thinks that I am a car dealer, for some reason, and sends me emails, asking how many people I will be having there.. leastwise that is what they did last year.. If I get any this year, I will try to get me a ticket or two..
Ok, thanks. I don't really know anyone good enough to hook me up with passes so I'll have to wait and see the pics on the web. Would be a great show to go to though. Plus it's vegas!!!!
I checked my email, and wow....One from SEMA... not only that, but also the explanation as to why they send me it.. The short story. I am now a confirmed registrant at the 2004 SEMA show, thanks to My Oil Co. (my oil company) I had no clue oil dealers were entitled to go too..
So, Sarah (sliknspeedy) and I will be attending the SEMA show in Las Vegas. We will be staying in Mesquite - the Buffets are better there. Hopefully we will get to meet some of you guys.
