Where I can pick up a set of wheels like the ones posted below?
I have been searching high & low in the local area & haven't been to successful about finding any. I would love to have them on my 88 F-150. The size that I need is 15" with 5 @ 5.5.
New or used, it doesn't matter as long as they are in decent condition.
1- Check with the manufacturer to see if they have some old stock left. I don't think they are made any longer, and you may have to try and find a nice used set. Here's the link:
2- Also, there's a guy here in Osseo runs a shop called "The Tire Guy". This guy has pulled more than a few rabbit's out of his hat with odd-ball stuff for me. Maybe give him a call @ 763-425-7603. If he doesn't have email I could easily print the pic and take it to him. Let me know, he's only about 2 miles away.
I forgot to tell you that I have recieved your email. I do want to thank you for your help, I'm going to start calling that man & bug the crap out of him - maybe he'll find a new or used set for me just to keep me from calling.
Those things are hard to find, I've been looking everywhere & will continue until I have a set. I've seen them on eBay, but unfortunatly they were 16" with the 8 lug pattern.
I was just going to say ebay but apparently you are already checking into that option. The only problem I have found with ebay for larger items is the shipping. You want to check the shipping calculator before bidding. I was going to bid on a set of rims and it was going to cost more to ship them than what the winning bid turned out to be.
Actually that is where I stole that picture from is ebay. But those were 16" wheels.
I have bought chrome stock wheels off ebay for the F-150. Only paid $30.00 to have them shipped to me from Michigan. I'm going to have to use the stock wheels until I find what I really want, it's better then steel wheels with hubcaps.
Now if I can find the time to finish the truck, but that is a different story all together.
Hey, I missed this post- I thought you had this over in the Minnesota Chapter area and I was wondering how you erased my reply! (Duh...)
I've been looking at the Truck Trader online for a set for you as well. I'll let you know if anything comes up.
BTW, "subcooling" is just a thermodynamics term used in refrigeration. The basis of refrigeration is actually "superheating", but I really couldn't go around calling myself "superhotguy", now could I?
