Don't you just love it when someone compliments you on your Ford truck?
On the way home from work tonight at around 9:00 pm, I stopped to put gas in my 1994 F150 Flareside. When I was filling up the front tank, two guys came over and told me how much they liked my truck. Asked the usual questions (year, engine, etc).
They mentioned they were from New York state, and had never seen an F150 Flareside like mine before, except in pictures (its a 1994). They kept telling me it was the nicest looking pickup truck they'd ever seen and loved how it had a 1990's front end and what they called "50's fender flairs" around the box. As we parted ways, I drove off in my Flareside and they in their Dodge Ram with the big "Hemi" emblems and huge 18" or 19" tires (also a nice looking truck, I think).
Its funny how compliments like that make you like your Ford truck even more then you already did. I drove home with a huge smile on my face
My friends always say, "dude, your trucks actually pretty fast for a Ranger" and thats when it was totally stock. Otherwise, my neighbors thought i bought a new truck when we brought this thing home in 2001. any my ranger is a '94
yea i just got an 04 150 lariat 4x4 and its great, i never had a truck before and i love the riding up high feeling. my last two cars was a bmw and a benz and i get more attention and compliments in my ford truck. not to mention how often i have right of way at stop signs now when everyone else here drives civics and other little jap. cars.
Out at my best friends house last weekend. His lil brother and a doofus friend of his stopped by. The doofus one looked my truck over pretty thoroughly, freshly waxed & shining to beat the band, asked whos truck? I said,"Mine, ya like it?" He said,"Nah..too pretty for me." I looked at my buddy & we both just shook our heads. He drives a little beat up old Datsun, that I would hate to be caught dead in.My wife commented the other day about a guy in another Red Ford, similar to mine, who was "really eyeballing" my truck ... I didn't notice, cuz I was checkin' his truck out.
Compliments are nice. And someone just checkin it out...is a compliment.
When I bought my '92 van in 2k, I had people asking me how I could afford a brand new van working at mcdonalds. It laughed and told them it was far from new. It had 92k on it when I took possesion, it now has 164k, and still runs good.
Compliments are nice. Every time I see a nice truck that stands apart from the crowd I tell the owner about it. People really like it when you praise there truck. It really makes there day. I f you want to make friends fast compliment anothers truck youll be there best friend. I know a kid who is always staring at my truck whenever he sees mine. I think he kind a likes my truck. Its sonic blue with aluminum rims and really looks sharp. If I had put it up for sale. I bet he wiould have bought it in a second. If anybody sees a truck that looks great. Tell em about it. Theyll act like you gave them a million dollars and it didnt cost you a cent. I make it a habit myself. Try it sometime.
i get compliments on both my trucks but especially my 2002. people turing the corner, at stop lights, entersections, parkinglots. i think its pretty cool. whats really funny is when you pull up to a stop light and you look around and people are staring at it. one guy even told me that my truck looks "classy". the other day at mcdonalds a guy even got out on the passenger side of his truck insted of on the drivers side next to mine. lol i guess he was afriad of door dinging it and he also drove a newer ford truck.
I get compliments on my trucks alot. I think it is really cool when I get a compliment on one my of my trucks! They usually come from older guys who used to have a truck like mine. They'll say something like "That's a nice truck you have, young man". Then they'll ask what year, engine size, etc. I also get alot of guys who ask me if my trucks are for sale--NO, none of them are for sale! Whenever I see a nice older Ford truck, I'm sure to compliment the owner on their truck. Actually, anytime I see a 73-79 Ford, I compliment it no matter what kind of shape it's in!
