Just Found The Missing Help I Need
I do have a few questions about this old gem though that I am hoping you all can help with.
I was down by the river today testing my 4wd to make sure it works before winter(I bought the truck this summer) and found the transfer case goes from seat to dash as:2wd HIGH, nuetral, 2wd LOW, 4wd LOW. Where in the heck is 4wd HIGH???
If this Dana model 24 transfer case doesn't have 4wd HIGH can it be instsalled?
My other question is can I some what easily change over my drum brakes front axle to disc brakes or disc brake axle? I was told the spring mounts on a '79 axle are too wide to put on this frame.
I have a complete running good body 74-77? f-250 2wd xlt ranger for a parts truck but the only thing really any good to me is the 390 engine if I wanted a spare. I would rather drop a 428 into it though with air bag suspension so a camper or trailer sits level. Any other help or tips you may have to make this truck the talk of the town I am all ears!
Thanks for taking the time to read my posting.

The D24 tcase has only 2H, 4H, N, and 4L. Usually the only tcases that have 2L are twin sticked or I think the 203 has 2L. I tried twin sticking my D24, but it will not work. I am thinking that yours might be out of adjustment(the linkage).
Disk brake conversion can be done(for the rear right?). I used to do 14bolt rearends. Here is a link. Not sure what happened to the pics. You can drop them a line, they are pretty cool. They don't sell the parts you have to go bone yarding to get them.

For power steering check this out. I did it and it works wonderful. I have pics of mine if you want to see them. Email me.
