PSE is A good company. Go to Whelen's web site to compare outputs and flash rates, on the LEDs. LED light bars are just about indistructable. Vibration and such do not bother them. LED light bars are a bit pricey.
The Maine state police are using LED light bars on their cars. Almost $5,000 per car, your tax $ at work.
If you can get away with an in car light, look at the Whelen Talon. It comes in all colors, and something like 60 strobe patterns.
I've been selling and installing emergency lighing for about 15 years as a part time business and PSE makes some nice equipment, Whelen is definitly the top of the line, but there are some products from PSE I like over Whelen and vise versa,, LED's are nice but still alittle pricey since kinda new technolgy for this industry, Most of the work I do are strobes but some departments here switching to LED's, the advantage the LED's offer are life span, if you use it all the time you will save in the long run of having to replace bulbs or strobe tubes but for the average personal use standard rotators or strobes will last some time. Really depends on what you are using it for and what kind of light you prefer or can afford. Another company is Able 2 Products who makes the Sho-Me line. I have used some of there LED's and Strobes before and never had a problem with them, They are a less expensive alternitive to PSE or Whelen http://www.able2products.com/Pages/LED%20Lights.htm
