'97 ford expedition... my truck wasnt starting... i would hear a click when i turn the key and all dome lights and radio would go out.... i had the battery tested, ok, terminals check-ok, so then i looked at the starter/solenoid.. the ground wire that comes out of starter casing and terminates on the soleniod had corroded and not connected.... my ? is... will this cuase the problem im having, if ground isnt connected, will it shut down? any and all help would be appreciated
I got you PM.
If you've tried to jump start and the starter doesn't turn, I'd start with the solenoid on the fender.
If that doesn't fix it, it looks like a starter. No problem that you replaced the solenoid, I'd never replace a starter without planning on replacing the solenoid at some point in time
