does anyone know what brand/where i can get a code reader for my bronc. It is a 92 so im guessing the would be OBD-I right?...alright that is about it thanks for any help...i dont need to most expensive one on the market just one that will work
I like my ScanTool. It is more expensive then the free paperclip, but can pay for itself if you have to do much in the way of diagnostics. It uses a seperate plug in module for Fords, gms, dogdes so it can be used for more then one vehicle.

ScanTool is the name, I bought mine at Autozone, but they are sold other places. Cost is about $120 for the unit and Ford module and cable(but I do not remember exactly). You can watch/record what your engine is doing while running with it. Depending on the vehicle you can do more then basic tests. It is less expensive then the tools that you can hook your computer up to (about $500), but this can catch about 90% of any system problems.

Thanks for the help. Walmart didnt carry them so I just went to O'Reilly Auto Parts and they had that digital one for $35.99. Once again thank you all for the help. Hopefully I can get the 92 to run a lot better now. Peace.
