If your talking about the larger diameter hole to allow the pump nossle to fit in then I would think a 99 model year filler neck would be fine. I have a 99 and it has the larger opening to allow for the big rig truck stop style nossles to fit in. I dont know if you can just swap one for the other???
Hey shedoa , just keep in mind that some of those pumps with the larger nossel are high speed ( volume ) capable of pumping a 100 gal. in a minute or two . So watch ya don't get a fuel shower .
I have a 99' and I have a hard time filling at most pumps, I always have to fill up with the lever clicked on the slowest setting, and sometimes that is still to fast for my truck. the guy that had the truck before me had a transfer tank in it. I don't know if he had done something to mess it up or what. I would sure like to fix the problem. It gets a little frustrating sometimes!
Ricky , I had an '86 that did the same thing . It was a real PITA when it was raining or snowing and 10 below 0 See if you can clear out the vent tube under the truck , should be one for each tank . You may have to take them ( vent tubes ) off to really see if they are pluged up , They look like vacume hose and go into the top of the tank(s) .
