fireing orders
ok i was looking into a MAF conversion, i cant find any specificly for the 5.8L but there are lots for the 5.0, from what ive gatherd i'll need to find a computer from something "95 or later so that they have the same firing order? and do i have to find one with the same computer, cause mines 8zp, and i havent seen any of those, cant i just swap mine for an a9p?

Don't be concerned with the firing order. You can change the positions of 4 wires and be ready to go. I don't know what the 8ZP is, so I don't know if the wiring is compatible with the A9P. What are the specifics of the truck you want to swap to MAF? i.e. tranny, year, etc etc.

its an 88 bronco with AOD and a 302 HO motor, but im gonna be swapping that out for a 351w outta a 92 f250, which is why im gonna do the maf, i might as well since the motors gonna be out any way.

You can custom wire it up yourself (I'd use an A9P) if you are adventuresome. If not, the Ford kit for the 302 with AOD transmission is what you want. You will have to change 4 wires on the injector harness to account for the 351 firing order. Do a search on MAF swap - there is a 5 or 6 page thread on this topic.
