It's definately good to see a positive story relating to the police and the great work they do, after all the police-bashing stories based on fallacious arguments. About time the media sheds some good light on the police.
Yup, very good to hear, and I hope she gets better, with all her limbs and little pieces intact. It is a sad thing to have to see a Cop stop serving on account of something like this. She did a good job, and is a credit to her department.

I agree it will be thrown out. Or at least should be. Strange things happen sometimes. It just bugs me when the family can't accept their perfect innocent loved one screwed up and try to get some greed money out of the whole ordeal.

Sounds like she got shot in both hands because she put them up in a reflex action or he was aiming for her head and her gun was drawn. She has to be one cool cookie to return fire and hit both criminals after being wounded in both hands. I hope the mother gets the death penalty for her role in this, myself, if I was sitting on the jury all I would be thinking was "If they shot a police officer, what would have they done to me at the ATM".

You got that right, I live 15 minutes from there and won't go anywhere near it after dark, too many crazy people and the traffic is horrid.
