While shopping around for a used SD crew cab, I figuered I'd check out what kind of deals were available on leftover new '04s. The prices look good not great, so I'm still inclinded to find an older one. However I was surprised to see how many dealers still have one or more Harley Editions on their showroom floors. One was basically willing to discount $8K off the sticker (down to $42K) in order to sell it. Why aren't these selling? They really seem like nice trucks and while I guess it's debatable whether they have any collector value etc, surely they aren't worth _less_ than a comparable lariat?
What do you think?

HD's are more expensive that Lariats, and you gotta want a black interior. They summer the safe fate as any customized vehicle, less people want them, so they have a narrower audience
Dealers around here are taking $11K off $47K MSRP Lariats around here, so $8 off a HD doesn't sound like all that great of a deal.
Yep, every dealer I pass that does any truck business at all got an Orange/Black Harley truck early on, and they all still have them. Odd. I have seen a few all-black Harley trucks on the road, so maybe that was just the more popular option.
