where to set timing?

where to set timing?
What would a good set be on my timing a 1992 f-150 K&N intake and headers with high flow cat and 3" exhaust? I am looking to get the best of both milage and power.

12 degrees is supposed to be the best number according to my Ford Fuel Injection book. You can go as high as 14 but the stock motor and heads might not like that as much. You could start at 14 and work your way down if it pings. I run mine at 12, had it at 14 for a long time. With my engine setup I noticed a little difference on the top end.
