air bag problem
Hello fellow v10ers. I have been following the v10 forum and going through the archives. I have found a lot of great info given by members and am looking forward to contributing.I have a 1999 f250 super duty that i recently had a fisher plow frame installed on . soon after the airbag light started blinking a code 25. I had a scaner run on it and it came up with a code B18-71- passenger airbag disabler modual fault. Does anybody know where the modual is? Do you think this fault could be caused by the plow frame instalation?

That means the passenger deactivation switch on the dash is inoperative. Probably due to a burned out bulb, or is unplugged at the connector. Occasionally I do find a bad switch, but usually the unserviceable bulb, which requires replacing the switch.
Some people have soldered a radio shack bulb in its place, but I havent personally.

I took the truck back to the used car dealer. He was willing to change the switch then his tech scaned it and said it was not the switch. pass airbag disabler modual sure sounds like the switch to me. gona call ford parts today. If they say thats the switch then its back to the used car dealer for the fix thanks for the info. I can't tell ya how much i apreciate it. This light is driving me nuts.
