Only with the new 4.2L V6 do you get a 5-speed manual.
Plus you get a set of defibullators for the engine trying to pull a 6,000 lb truck.
If they come out with a decent one to mate w/ the 5.4L, I'm in there!
(But don't let my new truck hear that!)

and since you cant get it in a 4wd that knocks off at least 200lbs of drive line. and not everyones truck weighs 6k, mines 4600lbs.

Sure would be nice if they offered the option. Even if it was a special order from the factory it would be pretty cool to have the 5.4 4x4 with a manual. I suspect it would be limited to XLT trims but even still it would be nice. Years ago they were still producing a fair amount of trucks this way and I would have to believe that there are still people who like the control of a manual.
I have my Cobra to give me my manual tranny fix, but without it I would be itchy to be rowing the gears in my truck.
