I have Bilsteins on the front of my F350 and like them alot. They have high build quality, give a firm ride without being harsh, and are not too expensive. I would definitely buy them again. I have had KYB Gas-A-Just shocks on one of my baja bugs and still have them on the Bronco as well. They are a rough riding shock. I'm not real excited about them and eventually will replace the ones on the Bronco with Bilsteins. I don't know anything about the Monomax though. I have heard that Konis are very good shocks, but also expensive.

What do you want out of them? If you dont mind a slightly firmer ride for much better and safer handleing handleing go for the Bilsteins. Got them on my 99 2wd f150, best money I've ever spent on it. Same for every other vehicle I've installed them on (E150, Sequoia, my Dakota, and my Golf). I've seen the Rancho bushings fall apart prematurely a few times they seem alright besides that. All of the ones your considering are high pressure, but the Bilsteins always seem to be tuned better for each application (experiance and word of mouth). Lifetime warranty (that they will honor no problem) as a bonus.
