I have an 03 model stroke and it idles pretty rough, and the only thing i can think of is the programmer. or the aftermarket oil crossover hose.
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Fordpower
p.s. I finally got to race the new bodystyle high output cummings the other day, it was chipped out and had exhaust, but to make a long story short "i'd rather be stroked than rammed" he got stroked!!!!!
Well, you can rule out the programmer by resetting it to stock and seeing if it clears up. The oil crossover should only improve the idle. Elsewise, under-valve-cover wiring harness comes to mind.
you may have introduced air into your fuel system with the crossover mod. it can idle rough for a couple of days until it works all the air out... I read that here in one of the threads ...

Might be due for a change or switching brands. The 7.3s are very tempermental when it comes to oil. My old '99 and my '03 both seem to like anything that I give/gave them. But many seems to dislike one oil or another.
