I have a new cd player i want to put in my 1990 bronco, but i cannot figure out how to get the bezel around radio and temp controls off. How do you do it, do you need a special tool, is there a hidden clip??
gently with a small screwdriver you can just pry it off. once you do it you will be surprised how easy it comes off. i was able to just pull mine off without the screwdriver.
In both my 87 and 89 models, the trim piece just popped off with the aid of a flathead. There are about 6-8 clips in various locations around the trim that fit into slots on the dash.
Try gently prying the trim out a bit at a time, looking for those clips. Once you find a clip, the molding should be a little stronger around that area and be able to handle being pryed on.
How long have you had the truck? If there was a previous owner, they could have done some monkey-magic to the factory set-up.
I've only had it for about 3 weeks now, so i dont know to much about it, as far as inside the cab..but you should have seen the stack of reciepts that came with it.
I'm gonna give it another shot friday after school when i have some time, and ill let you know how it goes
stupado, pre 92 models you need to remove the bezel to take out the 4 screws to remove the radio. after 92 you need the pin tool you are talking about.
