Beach Rat
Hi, I'm the new kid on the block. Have '85 F250 2wd, extra cab w/8' bed, only 97K miles on original 460 & C-6 tranny. New Edelbrock 750, engine has great compression and no oil leaks. Bought truck from original owner (used to tow 5th wheel trailer to AZ each winter from OR) so only about 5K a year on truck. All receipts for maintenance and repairs, body straight but some sun fade on paint. Still use it to tow 5th wheel but want to convert to 4wd. Prefer manual locking hubs, want to keep original tranny. Suspension is already heavy duty (air shocks rear and heavy duty shocks front with lift kit). 16" wheels and plenty of clearance. What year(s) truck or Bronco would I look for and what are the chances of getting a complete package (transfer case, drive shaft(s), axle with brake assembly, shifter, etc). I would appreciate any help. This is one great truck and running really strong but would like the extra versitility for the beach and the snow. Thanks!!
