C6 to E4OD swap
I tried to do a search with not so great results...and I know it has been discussed...can someone point me in the right direction? Some friends at work and I were discussing putting the E4OD in my 1969 f100 with a 390....is it do-able?

Since the 390 had its own bellhousing pattern, that alone would make it difficult. I think the E4OD also has a lot of electrical doo-dads that need to be hooked-up to the vehicle's computer to function. Do a search on the AOD transmission swap. It would not be my auto tranny of choice for any heavy towing, but I believe there is an adapter kit available for the 390.
