C 4 Tranny info
I have a street rod with a 351 built Cleveland motor with an FMX tranny. I was told that a C 4 would be a better choice...more HP to the rear wheels. Looking for some opinions on this. Are they the same size? Would I have to fab a new driveshaft? Any info on C 4 vs C 6 vs FMX would be appreciated. What is the difference between the trans listed above? Thanks for your opinion.

Ken I have built 351c wc4 behind it it does fine but is slow to shift to rev. don't know if this is a common problem or if its just mine. I rebuilt it after I finally got my engine running good. Can't help too much on the dimensions but I thought a trans. rebuilder might have the numbers you are looking for. My first experience with an fmx was in high school in a mustang never could fix it, looking back I think someone switched the valvebody which I hear is a nono.
