Coolant Leak
I have a 2002 7.3L F 250 diesel. I walked out to my truck yesterday, after being parked for about 2 hours, to find a coolant leak. It lost everything in the overflow tank. Upon inspection later that night, it seems to be coming from the lower left side of the radiator (when viewing the truck head on) where the radiator is seemed. No hose leaks and no water pump problems. It stops leaking after the engine cools (I assume because the pressure is relieved). Anyone ever had this problem? If so, what was the fix? I do not relish having to buy a new radiator.

we had a service truck that started leaking along the sides of the radiator. had a guy from our small town come out and he replaced some part of the radiator and fixed the leak. cheaper than a new radiator and i didnt have to do a thing. about six months later the otherside started leaking to. he came back out and fixed that side and we had no more problems before we sold the truck

not sure. i think it was actually one end of the radiator. this old man has done this for years and is really good. maybe you can find a radiator shop in your area and see if they can repair it. if not, the last radiator i replaced was only about $100 for the heavy duty lifetime guaranteeded radiator at auto zone.
