Arrow Just bought a.....

I just bought a 1970 Ford pickup. 429 v8 (just rebuilt)(swapped off of an old 11second mach1) , 12.5:1 pistons ,roller rockers, edlebrock intake manifold , holly 850 2brrl carb.....this weekend im adding a complete msd ignition set. I'm also planning within the next couple of weeks an aluminum radiator , silicon hoses , oil cooler ,180 degree stat, electric water pump, 140 amp alternator, and cold air induction.....anyone have any suggestions, tips, advice , i am all ears. Oh yeah and its a 5 speed.

Thanks

I have no answers for you but must say that your truck should really move. Why the H.O. alternator? Good luck!

make sure your brakes are ready for that kind of power, tis better to go slow and be able to stop than go 160 and hit a damn tree

What 5 speed is it? I have about the same setup but use a C6. I think a 5 would be fun! Maybe swap for a 4barrel carb and manifold? And throw on some headers! Weeeeee!

Is this a truck you plan on using at the track? Just curious because of the high compression usually likes more octane than pump gas. Is the 850 2 barrel something new? That must have some massive venturis!
