Ok just got a 99 engine would swaping the oil pump off the 99 on to my 97 do anything for me or is there any difference at all ? Allways lookin for an edge even if it's just alittle!!
Thanks, cookie I will check and see if I can figure that out ,Think it's on the drivers side vc Will it bolt on and work properly? I'm learning what will work and what won't! Got this motor and for what i paid for it I can get some of the cost back, It has a single mass flywheel conversion ! I wanted this motor so I could take it apart and see what it looks like under the oil pan I like hands on !!
Cool, two sets of forged rods, two sets of injector cores, and extra set of heads.....you could put together a serious hot rod with one of those motors.
Yeah dont taunt me I'm allready lookin for a regular cab 97' ,just something cool about the old bodystyle ! I am thinking about extrude honing this set of heads if its feasable? Talked to a freind of mine who is attending S.A.M. in houston he said he would put them on the flow bench and see what he could do with them but, after I got the engine home i looked at the port layout and really think that it would be tough to get that one runner soo gonna check with extrude hone and see what it would cost .Valve bowl work is a given gotta ask around and see if this is doable or is it a waste of time ,my way of thinking is still gasser so it may not apply to diesel ! It is still an air pump so the more effeiciant the better !! It's a pipe dream I guess but it is a cool one too me! GOT BOOST
