I'm moving to Philadelphia at the end of the month and will be buying an Explorer the first week we are there. As I review local ads for Explorers in the $7-10,000 price range I'm wondering what the Eddie Bauer package includes. Any proud owners of '91 - '95 models out there? (Better wheels, trim levels, radio, interior??)
Also, when it comes to engine options are there any preferred or trouble-prone engines?? I do more bodywork than I like to play with engines beside regular preventative maintenance.
Well Im not too sure I will be of much help to you...I have a 1996 Explorer EB 4x4 ...all I can tell you is that there isn't anything really different in the Eddie Bauer Package that has anything to do with performance.. mostly it is all cosmetic...leather interior electric seats..16" alloy specialty rims...(that seem to only <conviently> fit the suckiest tires on the road...Firestones A/T's) I love the interior (as I really hate cloth seats.) also...it has the auto temp gauge..the milage computor and tells you whether you are going North/South/East/West..
to tell you the truth... I was really disappointed in the rims...it just didn't feel natural.... I put on 15" rims and it felt like a new truck....
