Question Hello!

I just joined the forum today. I have a question about the brake light bulb on my 2000 F150 Crew Cab. The light is not working and needs to be replaced. How do I get to the bulb? I looked under the truck and can see where the bulbs located. There is a small hole there, not big enough to get my hand through. Before I go do something stupid, could someone tell me the correct way to replace the bulb? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ted

Open the tailgate and there should be two screws on the edge of the taillight. Remove those screws and then firmly but carefully pull the taillight straight out. Then you can access the plugs for the lights. Reverse order to replace. Hope that helps, thats the way it is on my extended cab styleside, yours should be the same but not sure if the flairsides are different.

Thank you Triton. I will check this out tomorrow. I hope it's just the bulb and not the MF switch. My fingers are crossed. Thanks again for your help. Ted

Thanks Triton! I did what you suggested. The bulb was bad. I replaced it and all is well. I had visions of replacing the MF switch. I appreciate your help very much. Ted
