When replacing tires ('91 3.0 shorty), is it possible to go to a tire that will essentially provide a smaller diameter? I was thinking of a 205 or 195 tire if that would do it, assuming it would have enough load carrying capacity. I don't carry heavy loads anyway
Advantages I see are better performance through being able to raise RPMs a bit when fighting the north winds here on Highway 5. The gearing seems too tall, IMHO. It would also make the van ride a little closer to the ground
Yeah, I know, everybody wants to go bigger, but I'm for making things last longer if it can be done reasonably.
