I have an '03 Expy EB. I also have a 10000 boat that I would like to tow(total weight with trailer and gear). I know what most of you are going to say..... but the boat stays in the water 90% of the time. I would trailer it out to the lake in spring and pull it out in late fall. during the summer I may take it out once or twice for a trip.
With this being said, I am assuming the boat will "squat" the rear end quite a bit. Are there any suggestions for suspention mods. to decrease this "squat". With the Indep. Rear Susp. I am lost as to what to do.
Other mods I will do is a new trans pan with incresed fluid capacity and a temp sensor port. K&N air filter and better performance exhaust. Any suggestions here would be great as well.
If you have the Load Leveling Suspension the truck should stay level. I had an 03 without it and the truck would squat with any significant load. I got the LLS on the 04 and it doesn't squat at all.
Try airliftcompany.com. They make air lifts to fit your inbetween your coils. Check out the web site and e-mail one of the sales reps. They are very friendly and may offer other advice if they can't help.

You might look into a weight distibuting hitch. They make them for boat trailers and would be more economical then a suspension upgrade. Try www.equalizerhitch.com. Also do a search at www.trailerboats.com forums for weight distibuting hitchs. Alot of info.
